Renewed circuit becomes the new beating heart of motocross in Belgium
Yamaha Motor Europe, Branch Benelux is pleased to announce that they have become the official main sponsor of the revamped MX Lierneux circuit in Belgium, which will officially open its doors to motocross fans from across Europe on May 22. This partnership marks a new phase in Yamaha’s involvement in motocross and brings numerous benefits to both Yamaha and the MX Lierneux circuit.

Perfect conditions all year round
MX Lierneux, recognized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), is not an unfamiliar name in the motocross world. The circuit has previously been the scene of prestigious European championships and is regularly visited by MXGP riders for training sessions. With a hard surface that efficiently dissipates any rain, it is possible to ride on the track all year round. The track dries quickly, providing optimal riding conditions in every season. The many natural and artificial humps are perfect for beginners and professional riders alike to practice and refine their jumping techniques.

Versatile motorsports hub
Riders of all levels can ride training sessions on the renovated track. MX Lierneux not only welcomes traditional dirt bikes, but is also open to ATV riders, making it a versatile hub for all off-road enthusiasts. As a testament to Yamaha’s longstanding commitment to motorsports, the track will also serve as a venue for future Yamaha events, including the MX Pro Tour and the bLU cRU YZ training and racing classes. This class is specifically designed to develop and support young talent.

New era
André Mathieu, the proud manager of MX Lierneux, is delighted with the new partnership: ‘This is a great new step in our development. With Yamaha as our main sponsor, we can start a new era for MX Lierneux. Together we will put MX Lierneux even more firmly on the map as the beating heart of the Belgian and international motocross world.’

Mario Janssen, Country Manager Yamaha Motor Europe, Benelux branch, is also excited about the collaboration. He says: ‘With this new main sponsorship, we as Yamaha Motor Europe, branch Benelux reaffirm our dedication to the sport, and our ongoing commitment to taking both the sport and its riders to the next level.’
